I have created on cd-rom a photo data-base of the most important butterflies of the world.
This software called LépidopTech (clic on) * allows the viewer to determine with the aide of the imago, over 2000 types of rhopalacères coming from every corner of the earth. The photos are actual size and display the butterflies fullspread for an accurate identification of each species.
The main families represented are: Acraeidae, Amathusiidae, Brassolidae, Danaidae, Heliconiidae, Hesperiidae, Ithomiidae, Libytheidae, Lycaenidae, Morphidae, Nemeobiidae, Nymphalidae, Papilionidae, Pieridae, Satyridae.
The classification is by family/genus/species.
The viewing of photographs on the cd rom is totally intuitive and allows you to see the butterflies one by one or a sheet of 24 reduced-sized photos, a clic away from a full-size view or a list form of genus and species with a powerful search engine which shows the desired species.
For each butterfly the following criteria is included:
familly,genus,species,sub-species,shape,deviation,author,sex,country, span and front and rear views.
It’s an ideal way to identify your collection or to discover the most beautiful butterflies in the world.
